Crystal Precision (M) Sdn Bhd, a Malaysia joint venture was set up in 1987 as a supporting sub-assembly plant to supply turner block, amplifiers and printed circuit board assembly to its sister company, Clarion ( Malaysia) Sdn.Bhd, in Penang and also for export to other Clarion plants world wide.

Clarion (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, was set up in 1971 as the first Clarion offshore manufacturing plant in the world, begins operations at the Bayan Lepas Free Trade Zone, producing 3,000 sets a month at a 1,000 square metre production site. Amongst the new products is the now defunct eight eight-track audio cartridge player. Clarion (Malaysia) Sdn.Bhd, is a supporting sub-assembly plant to supply car cassette, radio stereo and car cd radio, stereo amplifier for export to overseas market.

Clarion (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd establishes its own Research Development (R&D) facility in Malaysia in 1993, as a leading high-tech producer of audio systems and multimedia systems locally with local componentry in its systems which make inroads into worldwide markets and its own healthy of the domestic OEM market. Research Development as it now has a fully integrated operation system that managed to supply technical presentation for future trend, cosmetic design for car audio, mounting design by using 3-D CAD, electrical circuit design and software developing for car audio environment.
