Update Instructions:

In this software update, Core Software update and Main Software update files are required to complete the process. The Core Software (HM957.A) has to be updated before proceed to update the Main Software (PP 12.50). Please follow the steps below on the software update process.

STEP 1: CHECK SOFTWARE COMPATIBILITY

1. With FX688A powered on, navigate to “SETTINGS”
2. Select “ABOUT”
3. Before proceed to STEP 2, please confirm that the following Model Number is matched with your product information.

STEP 2: CORE SOFTWARE UPDATE

1. Download the software from "SW_UPDATE_HM957.A".
2. After the software download is done. Please extract the folder content from the "SW_UPDATE_HM957.A".
3. Prepare empty USB thumb drive. Insert USB thumb drive to your computer/device and copy all files from "SW_UPDATE_HM957.A" folder into USB thumb drive root directory. After copying process is completed, please eject the USB thumb drive.
4. Insert USB thumb drive into the FX688A.
5. The FX688A will automatically show the pop up to update the software from current version to "version HM957.A".
6. Select "OK" to proceed the updating process
7. During updating process, please do not shut down the FX688A. The FX688A will take approximately 8-10 minutes to complete the update.

STEP 3: MAIN SOFTWARE UPDATE

1. Download the main software from "PP_12.50".
2. After the software download is done. Please extract the folder content from the "PP_12.50".
3. Prepare empty USB thumb drive. Insert USB thumb drive to your computer/device and copy all files from "PP 12.50" folder into USB thumb drive root directory. After copying process is completed, please eject the USB thumb drive.
4. Insert USB thumb drive into the FX688A.
5. The FX688A will automatically show the pop up to update the main software from current version to "version Clarion_12.50”.
6. Select "OK" to proceed the updating process
7. During updating process, please do not shut down the FX688A. The FX688A will take approximately 8-10 minutes to complete the update.

STEP 4: CONFIRM THE UPDATED SOFTWARE VERSIONS

1. With FX688A powered on, navigate to “SETTINGS”
2. Select “ABOUT”
3. Please confirm that the following software versions has been successfully updated.
